Nearly half of large field service companies do not give
their
mobile workers wireless remote access to their service
management systems.
Momote, a provider of
wireless service management solutions, commissioned the
independent research among 100 large field service companies. It
said the shortfall could lead to poor service to clients and
end-users.
The survey also found that only 20% of field service firms have
fully optimised field service
mobility solutions, to allow them to respond to changing
service requirements in the field.
At the other end of the spectrum, those offering remote access
to staff are already considering second generation connectivity
solutions to help improve service further.
