Adobe Systems has introducedLivecycle
Enterprise Suite (ES) software, a product
designed to help businesses create a common design environment for
document production and distribution.
Enterprise Suite provides two applications. Livecycle Production
Print ES addresses high-volume and production output
requirements, and Livecycle Output ES is aimed at on-demand or
medium-volume applications.
The Livecycle Output ES is designed to help organisations
generate, assemble, and deliver personalised documents in print or
electronic formats such as contracts, welcome packages, or shipping
labels, Adobe said. Document packages can be customised by
combining newly generated
PDF files with existing files from document repositories.
Furthermore, Livecycle Output ES converts PDF to Postscript or
image file formats and automatically routes them to support
unattended printing or archiving operations.
Livecycle Production Print ES is the result of a
collaboration between Adobe and Streamserve, and offers users a
way to streamline poroduction of documents such bank statements.
Adobe said the product is able to deliver high volumes for both
single jobs and complex document packages. It also supports AFP,
Postscript, PCL, and PDF formats and adds advanced post-processing
capabilities such as document collection, document sorting, and
imposition with e-stapling.
Livecycle Production Print ES is due to be generally availabile
in the autumnn. Adobe Livecycle Output ES is expected to be
available in July 2007.
