Foundry Networks upgrades Hygiene school’s £500,000 network

Foundry Networks has completed a project to refresh The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM)’s network infrastructure at its main Keppel Street campus in Bloomsbury using its latest BigIron and FastIron Ethernet switch technology.

This will provide a scalable platform for all the school’s research, teaching and training needs for at least the next five years. The project is worth approximately £500,000.

Network infrastructure was installed in two key phases, with a third forthcoming. For the first phase, Foundry was chosen as the supplier of choice in 2003 when a new seven-storey building extension at the Keppel Street site - the North Courtyard - was completed, creating much-needed office space.
