Lloyds TSB has gone live with SAP’s Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) E-Procurement software.

The moves follows the completion of a trial programme run jointly by Lloyds TSB, SAP Consulting and Capgemini UK.

The SAP software is being rolled out across the 72,000 staff within the Lloyds TSB Group, offering a single, easy to use, common buying process for the majority of Lloyds TSB's spend on goods and services.

Mark Swyny, service and systems director for group procurement at Lloyds TSB, said the bank is taking a strategic approach to align technology with business plans, in order to provide a better service for customers and a more effective way of working for Lloyds TSB’s employees.

Swyny said, “The solution is a key part of the Lloyds TSB Group’s major Procurement Transformation Programme. It will allow us to optimise control of spend and reduce costs in the bank's procure to pay process, using an electronic, fully integrated closed loop solution with our existing SAP Financial and Reporting solutions.”
