Red Hat and Symantec offer SMEs bundled secure server platforms

Red Hat and Symantec are offering bundled Linux server and security software to SMEs.

The bundled software package is designed to lower overall implementation time, avoid costly hardware upgrades and to be standards-based, said the two companies.

The software offers Red Hat Enterprise Linux or the Red Hat Application Stack bundled with Symantec Critical System Protection.

Red Hat and Symantec are offering two secure server softwares to Customers - Secure Server Host and Secure Server Host for Applications. 

The Secure Server Host brings together Symantec's behaviour-based host intrusion protection and detection technologies with Red Hat’s open source Linux platform for enterprise computing.

The Secure Server Host for Applications combines the same security with the Red Hat Application Stack, an open source suite needed by enterprises to run standard web and enterprise applications based on Java, LAMP or Linux.
