Powerboat fans can now watch the
Honda British Formula Four Stroke Powerboat championship
online. The service has been made possible by using an on-board
camera and wireless access points from
Global Secure Systems.
Team AppGate Mermaid raced with a video camera on board,
transmitting live video pictures to shore over a standard 802.11
wireless network.
"Spectators can now get a taste of the thrill of racing onboard
a Formula Four Stroke Powerboat," said David Hobson, driver of
AppGate Mermaid.
