London’s Royal Albert Hall is cutting its communication costs with a centralised network for dealing with data traffic and the 520,000 phone calls it receives each year.

The system is based on Avaya’s Communication Manager IP telephony platform and a data network from Extreme Networks. Sarah Woods, director of customer relations at the Royal Albert Hall, said the system had resulted in greater efficiency, especially at times when call volumes are high.
