Gamblers are logging on to the national
lottery in increasing numbers, says
lottery operator Camelot.
More than 2.7 million people have now registered to play on
Camelot’s interactive platforms. This is up from 2.1 million at the
start of 2007.
This has boosted online sales to £5.8m a week, and taking
contributions to good causes to £1.5m a week.
Gamblers can choose between the internet, digital TV and mobile
phones as access devices. Camelot claims players find
national-lottery.co.uk
to be one of the easiest websites to use on the internet.
“88% of players say using the lottery website is either a ‘very
positive’ or ‘extremely positive’ experience,” it said.
