Argyll and Bute Council buys £1m Steria call centre

Argyll and Bute Council has bought a new £1m call centre from IT services company Steria.
The council said the deal would reduce its number of telephone lines and incoming calls, make it easier to track calls and generally help to give people a better service.
The call centre was installed as part of the council’s business process re-egineering programme.
Steria does consulting, systems integration and managed services for public organisations and public authorities across Europe and has more than 10,000 employees, who hold 24% of its capital.
