Avis has signed a deal to support its
financial systems with a
CODA platform.
The three-year deal covers financial management software and
services, and will support the car hire company’s financial shared
service centre in Budapest.
This centre is responsible for the majority of the
transaction processing for Avis Europe’s corporate offices.
“We chose CODA because we wanted to work with a company that had
experience with pan-European software projects and a clear
understanding of local fiscal requirements,” said Mark Kightley,
programme manager at Avis.
Kightley said the chosen platform will automate the invoice
matching process and reduce the risk of manual error. The CODA
system will also enable Avis to manage expenses better in
accordance with country level regulations.
Avis has purchased licenses for the Neon software, the latest
version of CODA’s CODA-Financials offering. The contract also
includes licences for CODA-Control Manager, which will help
automate the processes around period close in the shared service
centre on behalf of local finance teams.
Avis has also purchased software for procurement, invoice
matching, billing and reporting. It is currently testing the
software as part of CODA’s Neon beta programme, and expects the
initial implementation to be completed this year.
Avis runs its shared services IT infrastructure with the
Microsoft Windows OS and the Microsoft SQL Server 2005
database.
