Microsoft is offering enterprise customers a free trial of
Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, the platform for e-mail,
calender and unified messaging.
The hosted trial service is being implemented and managed by
Unisys, who will offer the software trial on its 64-bit Unisys
ES7000 server platform.
Peter Tripp, vice president of the strategic program office, for
global outsourcing and infrastructure services at Unisys, said:
“This is a great opportunity for Unisys to help customers test the
benefits of a unified communications and collaboration platform,
that offers greater security, scalability and flexibility.”
Exchange Server 2007 offers integrated security software to
protect data, in addition to remote access to users.
Exchange competes against solutions like the
Domino server from IBM.
