Hounslow Council is one of the first local authorities
to offer residents the choice of accessing services and information
on the move through a newmobile website.
The mobile site contains the same information as the council’s
main website, and is optimised to be read on mobile devices such as
personal desktop assistants and mobile phones with access to the
internet.
Peter Thompson, leader of the council, said, “This new version
of the website will make it even easier for residents to access
information about the services we provide.
“We want to be able to allow residents to access our services on
their own terms, not just from nine to five, and new technology is
allowing us to make this possible.”
