Busy Bees Childcare Vouchersis implementing a £1m-plus Microsoft-based IT system to
improve its administration and finance.
Part of the ABC group, one of the world’s largest childcare
companies, UK-based Busy Bees has gone to IT consultancy
Touchstone Group to implement the system.
The system includes systems to improve financial accounting,
business administration, customer relationship management, web
development and SQL database management, as part of a fully
integrated system with complete business intelligence
reporting.
The software used comprises of Microsoft Dynamics GP for
financial accounting, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft SharePoint
2007 for the voucher website, Microsoft ASP. Net for bespoke
elements of the website, the Microsoft BizTalk 2006 system
integration hub, Microsoft Reporting Services, and the Microsoft
SQL Server 2007 database platform.
Jo Dalby, Busy Bee Childcare Vouchers financial director, said,
“We chose to implement this ‘end-to-end’ Microsoft solution because
we believe that in doing so we have safeguarded the future of our
IT systems.”
The new system, which will support a 200-strong operation,
replaces a bespoke developed system that could no longer cope with
the company's growth.
Busy Bees is rolling out the system this month and expects the
financial elements to be live by 1 April, and fully live with all
elements by June.
