Fujitsu Siemens will begin shipping laptops with 3G as
standard, the company said at this year’s CeBIT trade show in
Hanover.
At present, 30% of Fujitsu’s product line ships with 3G,
although forecasting demand in the industry for such laptops
remains uncertain.
The announcement builds on the manufacturer’s previous plan to
team with Orange to deploy built-in 3G datacards into its Lifebook
range of portables.
