Pest control and cleaning firm Ecolab has opened an IP-based customer contact centre in Wales.

The new Caerphilly contact centre, which has created 55 jobs, uses a £100,000 communications platform implemented by Redstone Converged Solutions.

Ecolab said the Cisco-based solution allowed calls to be answered faster and pest problems solved quicker.

Redstone installed the IPFX-based contact centre using Cisco CallManager and Cisco IP phones. The deal also includes a three-year maintenance contract.

Helen Fegan, divisional administration manager at Ecolab, said, “It has revolutionised our customer service delivery and will pay for itself through happier customers.”

Redstone has also recently provided IP-based systems to Foxtons estate agencies and Direct Wines.
