Oracle has announced the general availability of release
3 of Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g.
Release 3 of Oracle's enterprise management system includes
better management capabilities for packaged applications and
service oriented architecture (SOA) applications, new Oracle Fusion
Middleware, and improved lifecycle management capabilities.
Oracle has also announced the general availability of Oracle
Application Management Packs for the Oracle E-Business Suite and
Oracle’s Siebel CRM, which can be used with Oracle Enterprise
Manager 10g release 3.
Spanning applications, middleware and database management,
Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g release 3 is designed to enable IT
departments to achieve greater agility, better service quality and
lower operational costs.
Oracle said the system enabled its 21,000-plus customers to
manage their applications from top to bottom – from monitoring
service levels to proactively isolating exceptions before they
affected business, and addressing issues at every level of the IT
stack.
Oracle Fusion Middleware offers management capabilities for the
services that business applications rely on, including SOA,
business activity monitoring and identity management.
Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g release 3 also comes with greater
support for Oracle Access Manager and Oracle Identity Manager
through the Oracle Management Pack for Identity Management.
