BEA Systems and CA have formed a partnership to further
streamline and simplify identity and access management (IAM) across
enterprises.
The pair will offer solutions to help customers reduce IT costs
and improve performance by combining best-of-breed web single
sign-on and user management technologies.
There will be integration of BEA’s
AquaLogic and
WebLogic product families with CA’s CA
SiteMinder and CA Identity Manager platforms.
The two companies will validate existing customer
implementations and collaborate to extend integrations for joint
customers. In addition, CA has chosen BEA’s WebLogic Server as the
application server for CA’s IAM technology.
Wai Wong, executive vice president for products at BEA Systems,
said, “CA and BEA together can enable customers to benefit from
reduced administration costs of their security architectures, as
well as provide increased IT efficiency and better business
agility.”
The companies plan to conduct interoperability testing and
validations that can provide customers with improved performance
and reliability, said Wong.
