Vanco, the virtual network operator (VNO), has announced
three major customer contracts to supply communications and data
services to large companies.
Vanco,
which provides enterprise telecoms by patching together different
services from various providers to get the best price and service,
said it has signed deals with the Hilton hotel group, tyre and car
parts company Continental and large Belgium printer Esko.
The multi-million pound Hilton deal sees Vanco providing
connectivity and data services to 270 locations across around 50
countries.
The Continental deal involves Vanco replacing AT&T and
Horizon for comms provision and connecting 180 sites and supporting
30,000 users. This deal also covers data security systems.
With the Esko contract, EDS will be replaced as a comms
provider. Vanco CEO Allen Timpany said Esko had found that EDS
could not deliver a cost effective solution for its comms, so it
switched to Vanco.
The deals were announced by Vanco at its annual press and
customer conference in Prague.
Companies like Vanco and Sirocom give companies the option of
avoiding single contracts with providers and aim to get the best
price for connectivity from various suppliers.
