Claire’s Accessories installs Epos and workforce management system

Friday 16 February 2007 04:51

Claire’s Accessories has started deploying a combined Epos and workforce management system at its 3,000 stores worldwide.

The fashion retailer decided to use RetailStore 3.0 and RetailStore Central from software supplier Epicor. The technology went live at its first UK store earlier this month.

Claire’s Stores, the parent company of Claire’s Accessories, wanted to deploy a single in-store IT system in all 14 countries where it trades under the Claire’s brand.

The company’s CIO Keith Pickens said, “We were able to implement business processes unique to Claire’s so that the system reflects our own corporate culture.

“The RetailStore Central module was particularly important to us as it enabled us to seamlessly manage store system configurations worldwide.”

The applications include Epos, promotions, returns management, inventory look-up and workforce management functionality.

The systems were added to Epicor’s suite of products after it acquired software supplier CRS Retail in 2005.
