Unisyshas joined
forces withOraclein a global
alliance to aid enterprise modernisation.
This is the first joint initiative between the two companies
focused specifically on standards-based modernisation solutions for
enterprise IT assets.
The alliance will offer consultancy and services based on
Unisys’ 3D Visible Enterprise (3D-VE) approach and the Unisys
Modernisation Solution portfolio for critical areas such as
business processes, applications and infrastructure
modernisation.
This technology will be combined with Oracle’s product
portfolio, including Oracle Applications, Oracle Database 10g,
Oracle Fusion Middleware and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
Unisys is a Certified Advantage Partner of the Oracle
PartnerNetwork and a member of the Oracle Modernisation
Alliance.
Ali Shadman, vice-president and general manager of Unisys open
source solutions, systems and technology, said, “Through expanded
teaming with Oracle, Unisys can offer enterprises facing the
challenge of aligning their IT environments with strategic business
goals, the distinct advantage of modernising their IT assets while
protecting their long-term investments in critical
applications.”
The two companies will offer a number of solutions built on
Linux running on Intel-driven hardware.
