Galileo, which provides a global distribution service
for the travel industry, is to deploy a new software system to
manage its product planning and management.
Accept 360° from Accept Software will enable Galileo to define,
prioritise and deliver new products to its network of over 44,000
travel agency customers worldwide.
David Hughes, chief marketing officer of Galileo, said, “We
needed an application that could manage the relationships between
planning elements as specific as a contract commitment to a
customer and as general as a global strategy. With operations in
over 130 countries, the application also had to be accessible to
any user at any time.”
Galileo selected the product against a set of criteria which
comprised functionality, performance, flexibility, and scalability,
said Nigel Watson, director of business systems, for Galileo.
