Amicus union members have
voted for a further five days’ strike action at
Fujitsu’s Manchester site.
The Fujitsu Services site handles a number of IT outsourcing
contracts for large companies and government departments. The
dispute is over employee benefits and union rights.
The union held a strike earlier this month, and took a day’s
strike action last year after the dispute began in November
The latest action will take place from Monday 29 January to
Friday 2 February.
The union plans to send strikers to other Fujitsu sites around
the country to help gain support from other workers and collect
money for their campaign.
It is not known how the dispute has so far affected the Fujitsu
Services contracts at the Manchester plant, which include one for
Marks & Spencer.
