Dell has appointed Steve Schuckenbrock to lead its IT
global services organisation.
As senior vice-president of global services, Schuckenbrock will
report to CEO Kevin Rollins. He will begin work with Dell on 8
January.
Analysts estimate the worldwide IT services market is worth
around £337bn, and Dell aims to get a larger slice of it.
"Our services business is one of Dell’s fastest growing
businesses and it is one of our strategic pillars,” said
Rollins.
Prior to joining Dell, Schuckenbrock served as co-chief
operating officer and executive vice-president of global sales and
services at EDS.
Before joining EDS in 2003, he was chief operating officer of
The Feld Group, an IT consulting organisation.
He was also global chief information officer at PepsiCo from
1998 to 2000.
