DSM Nutritional Products has implemented the DataFlux
tool to verify and validate data in its SAP R/3
systems.
The global manufacturer of nutritional goods expects to save
time and money by using DataFlux to classify its internationally
coded spend and materials data.
The DataFlux data quality tool will help the company to optimise
corporate purchasing, and maximise the value and efficiency from
existing SAP R/3 systems.
DSM said DataFlux allowed business users to set coding rules
themselves, and maintained a single, consistent source of “master
data” within a reference database.
“We have experienced a remarkable improvement in the accuracy on
spend classification,” said David Barron, master data manager at
DSM. “This investment is aimed at supporting our global initiative
to reduce purchasing costs by ensuring the quality of spend
classifications at an operational level by profiling, verifying,
customising and monitoring our data on an ongoing basis.”
