JPMorgan is hiring a further 200 software design and
development staff at its European Technology Centre (ETC) in
Glasgow.
The jobs at the US investment bank will be added over the next
two years. The centre already employs around 700 IT staff, involved
in the design and development of financial IT systems.
JPMorgan is receiving cash from the Scottish Executive to help
fund the jobs expansion.
The Scottish Executive also put its hand in its pocket to fund a
further 100 IT jobs at the Glasgow facility earlier this year.
That investment cost the Scottish Executive around £1.5m, and
the latest one is set to cost it around £3m.
