Businesses can learn a lot about how to create valuable
web communities from virtual worlds such as Second Life, according
to Clive Longbottom, service director at analyst firm
Quocirca.
Longbottom said these virtual worlds are increasingly crossing
over into the real world, with virtual clothes shops transforming
into mail order services and the virtual money that can buy an item
in cyberspace being exchanged for real cash.
