Users have expressed confidence in Oracle’s ability to
sustain Siebel’s product line, but PeopleSoft and JD Edwards users
are less satisfied with Oracle’s performance, according to the UK
Oracle User Group’s 2006 survey of its members ahead of the group’s
annual meeting in Birmingham this week.
Many PeopleSoft and JD Edwards users are unhappy with aspects of
their relationship with Oracle and its products, the survey
found.
Ronan Miles, chairman of the UKOUG, said the results confirmed
that any honeymoon period was over for Oracle after its acquisition
spree in 2005.
Ian Smith, senior vice-president for Oracle UK, Ireland, South
Africa and Israel, said, “We look forward to listening to our
customers at the OUG conference and reassuring them that our
number-one objective is to provide choice.”
