Friday 10 November 2006 12:27

Symantec is to acquire Company-i, a UK-based professional services firm that specialises in supporting datacentres in the financial services industry.

Company-i will be incorporated into Symantec’s Global Services division as part of its consulting business.

Greg Hughes, executive vice-president for Symantec Global Services, said, “Company-i’s consultants understand the datacentre. They help large enterprises reduce IT risk and costs by reducing infrastructure complexity, improving service management and increasing automation.”

The acquisition is expected to be completed before the end of the year and the Company-i team will be added to Symantec’s EMEA services team.
