The Cabinet Office’s Central Sponsor for Information
Assurance (CSIA) has awarded Pointsec Mobile Technologies a quality
mark for its Pocket PC mobile security system.
The CSIA Claims Tested (CCT) mark is awarded to products once
they have gone through a testing and evaluation process, and is
designed to give government departments, the police and local
authorities the confidence that products offered are secure.
Pointsec for Pocket PC combines enforceable mandatory access
control and strong encryption to create an advanced enterprise
security system. User credentials and confidential data can
therefore remain private, enabling organisations to use mobile PC
technology without compromising security.
Pocket PC is now one of the fastest growing operating systems in
the mobile device sector, and competes against the Symbian, Palm
and Linux operating systems, among others.
