Logan Teleflex UK, a supplier of airport baggage
handling systems, is to replace its legacy enterprise resource
planning (ERP) platform.
The company is overhauling its ERP system with Applications 7
from ERP supplier IFS to improve its operations and customer
service. Using the IFS suite, Logan Teleflex said it will be able
to manage the full product life-cycle: design, build, install, and
after-sales service management.
The implementation will include financials, sales, contract and
project management, manufacturing, document management, human
resources, payroll, customer relationship management, service
management and collaboration modules.
The former legacy systems were not integrated sufficiently, and
the management team tended to receive its project performance data
at different times. This led to incorrect departmental analysis and
a significant additional administrative burden.
All core modules in the UK business unit will go live in
December, with plans to roll out across European locations and the
US next summer. The firm will have approximately 130 IFS
application users across all business levels.
Logan Teleflex expects to save 20%-30% of senior management
time, and to gain from accurate, real-time project status
information.
