IBM has acquired the DORANA product line and associated
assets from an Australian software firm Ubiquity Pty of Melbourne,
to improve its software asset management offering to
companies.
IBM's software asset management portfolio, contained in the
Tivoli line of products, helps customers make informed software
investments and decisions based on actual software use activity
over both distributed and mainframe platforms.
IBM has also announced an investment programme to overhaul its
mainframe platforms by introducing new user interfaces to ease
mainframe management and support development.
