Manufacturing software maker QAD has acquired Precision
Software for its transportation management software
solutions.
The $14.5m (£8m) deal will see Dublin-based Precision operate as
an independent division of US-based QAD.
“The synergies created by this new combination will help further
improve our customers' competitive advantage,” said QAD chairman
and president Pamela Lopker.
Precision’s transportation management products will be offered
as integrated solutions to QAD’s enterprise resource planning (ERP)
systems.
Precision already supplies transportation management software
systems, including global trade management and international
regulatory compliance solutions, to more than 900 customer sites in
55 countries.
QAD and Precision had already been technology partners before
the acquisition.
