Industry experts believe that businesses are moving away from proprietary architectures to reduce their total costs and achieve higher levels of performance, scalability and availability. Systems based on the new processor infrastructures are helping to accelerate this transition, by delivering twice the performance of previous systems, while improving energy-efficiency by about 2.5 times.
