Interim IT directors are raking in £80 an hour as
companies seek help to troubleshoot insourcing and problem IT
projects.
This surge in demand for their services has increased interim IT
director pay by 34% over the last year, according to the
Association of Technology Staffing Companies (ATSCo).
Using interim IT chiefs gives companies access to the kind of
expertise they’d normally have to pay management consultants – at
an even more inflated price. And they can call in different experts
to match the project.
“Organisations are looking for the most cost-effective way to
rebuild skills and systems that were hollowed out in the
outsourcing process,” says Ann Swain, chief executive of ATSCo.
