Vodafone UK is reconfiguring the fixed-line and mobile
services it offers to small- to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in
a new portfolio that the company believes will support users
whether they work in the office, from home or
remotely.
The portfolio, Mobility Solutions for Business, has been
developed in response to increased demand for one-stop telecoms
services from SMEs. Vodafone is buoyed by research that indicates
that 86% of its UK business customers already regard the company as
a credible supplier of total communications services.
The bundle will incorporate the full range of Vodafone UK's
mobile voice and data services, including the recently launched 3G
broadband, alongside a package of fixed line services including
business broadband, carrier pre selection for cost-saving call
routing, business numbers (such as 0870 or 0800 numbers) and line
rental.
Vodafone claims that customer benefits include simplified
account and service management structure; direct, single point of
contact for all telecommunication support (no voice recognition
systems) and cost benefits for purchase of both mobile and fixed
services.
Elaine Roberts, head of enterprise marketing for Vodafone UK,
says, "We believe in true 'mobility' - that is, the ability to
connect wherever you are, whether it's fixed broadband to the home
desktop or 3G broadband to a laptop out in the field. We are
getting a clear message from our customers that they want to
consolidate these kinds of services with one supplier. They want
simplicity, choice and value and that is exactly what we are
providing."
