Swyx has added to its range of software-based business
class IP telephony products with the release of SwyxWare
Compact.
The system, which is a software IP-PBX, will operate on Windows
XP Professional, Small Business Server or Windows Server. It is
aimed at small- to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The company boasts that SwyxWare Compact will provide SMEs with
a high degree of functionality that was previously only available
to larger businesses on enterprise-level systems.
Dave Smith, senior vice-president of marketing, says, "SwyxWare
Compact is a fully featured pure IP-PBX telephony solution that is
not dependent upon proprietary hardware, and has been designed as a
pure software-based IP telephony system rather than adapted from
legacy hardware solutions.
"It will allow businesses to enhance their productivity and
business efficiency by integrating their telephone system into
their existing applications, such as Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes
or any CRM or workflow package."
SwyxWare Compact offers features such as call recording,
voicemail/unified messaging, customisable call handling and
routing, and fully integrated VoIP connectivity. It will run on the
existing network and CAT5 cable infrastructure, which should reduce
operating and installation costs.
