The Communications Management Association (CMA) is to
hold a mobility and flexible working day in central London later
this month.
As mobile and flexible working becomes more widespread, the 22
June event will consider how companies should support and secure
the increasing number of remote connections to corporate
networks,
Technologies covered by the event will include voice over IP
telephony, broadband, fixed and mobile wireless, and secure
VPNs.
The event will consider CMA research into members’ attitudes to
mobile and flexible working, and will feature industry users giving
presentations as to how they cope with such working.
Among those scheduled to speak are David France, head of IT at
Honda Racing F1; a speaker from the Ministry of Defence covering
remote security; and presentation from analyst Yankee group.
Industry suppliers attending the event and giving presentations
include Microsoft, Nokia, Alcatel, HP, Nortel, Avaya and O2.
