Telstra Europe launches SMB broadband packages

Business telephony and data service provider Telstra Europe is launching a range of broadband packages aimed at small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

The packages combine telephone line rental, ADSL broadband internet access and inclusive call minutes. Broadband speeds of up to 8mbps are available.

Free installation or migration to broadband is available for new customers, along with free transfer of existing telephone lines. Customers can also add Telstra's Broadband Enhanced Care package and additional telephone lines such as ISDN2 or ISDN30 at any of their locations. Calls made on all extra lines will also be incorporated into the free call allowance.

David Thorn, CEO of Telstra Europe, says, "Small- to medium-sized businesses in the UK want to increase productivity, lower their costs and reduce the complexity of their IT. Our business packages address these needs, simplifying the management of broadband and telephony services by providing one cost effective, simple and flexible solution for broadband, telephone line rental and calls."

Telstra's Business Comms Max package comprises Business Broadband Max (up to 8mbps), analogue telephone line rental and 500 free minutes to any UK phone numbers with 01 and 02 prefixes, at a cost of £49.99 per month for one year, or £48.49 per month for a two-year contract.

Thorn adds, "As competition within the UK broadband market continues to intensify, we are delighted to be one of the first providers to launch up to 8mbps broadband on a nationwide basis, which forms an integral part of our comms packages."
