Voice over IP (VoIP) supplier Avaya has chosen
Legerity's VE880 VoicePort and Le79112 voice control processor to
provide the voice interface for its next-generation IP Office voice
and data systems for small- to medium-sized businesses
(SMBs).
Avaya has sold more than 60,000 IP Office systems to companies
around the world. The updated IP Office expansion modules are
intended to provide Avaya's customers with an expanded and updated
range of its phones. IP Office supports customers throughout the
world with a variety of phones, including analogue, digital and IP
hard and soft phones.
Morag Lucey, vice-president of marketing at Avaya’s Small and
Medium Business Solutions group, says, "The Legerity voice solution
enables us to deliver updated IP Office expansion modules, which
were phased in during October 2005, and reiterates Avaya's
continued commitment to, and investment in, IP Office as a
significant convergence platform for the SMB market."
