McAfee has introduced a new online security portal to
help users research and tackle a wide range of internet
threats.
The McAfee Threat Center contains updated security information
from McAfee’s Avert Labs security research division on spam,
phishing and spyware threats.
McAfee is redesigning its main website to make it easier for
businesses and consumers to find relevant and free security
information.
By offering information on wider threats, instead of just the
previous core information on viruses, McAfee hopes it can help
customers avoid future attacks.
The portal also contains free security tools and articles from
McAfee security experts.
The portal will also contain a security blog in the near future.
The Microsoft security portal already contains a widely accessed
security blog, which points users towards emerging threats.
