Oracle has released a roadmap for its business
intelligence (BI) products, including details of availability for
small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
The company says that its open standards-based BI suite is
designed for all users and business processes throughout the
enterprise and combines Oracle's BI middleware with Siebel Business
Analytics. When combined with Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft
Enterprise, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and Siebel pre-built analytic
applications; Oracle says the new suite addresses the complete
spectrum of BI and analytical requirements facing SMBs today,
including historical, real-time and forward-looking insight, with
data integration and management.
Furthermore the company is confident that the suite, along with
other software components of Oracle applications, Oracle databases,
and Oracle Fusion middleware, delivers 'hot-pluggable' BI into
existing operational systems.
The BI suite features three editions, with Oracle Business
Intelligence Suite Standard Edition One designed as a specialised
offering for small SMBs. Oracle Business Intelligence Suite
Enterprise and Standard Editions are available today. The Oracle
Business Intelligence Suite Standard Edition One is planned for
availability in Oracle's next fiscal year, which begins in June
2006.
