Luxury hotel group Orient-Express Hotels has chosen
Pasporte to deliver a fully managed network in a £1.1m outsourcing
deal.
The contract will see Pasporte, in partnership with IBM and
Equant, design and deploy a managed service to deliver
Orient-Express Hotels’ business applications, desktops, Lan and Wan
provision, remote access, internet connection and IP telephony.
It will also include 24-hour maintenance, helpdesk and managed
security, and back-up services.
Orient-Express, which runs 39 hotels and a string of other
tourist facilities in 25 countries, is expecting to gain improved
IT performance, faster and more secure business processes and a 20%
annual saving in operational costs.
The IT system is also expected to provide a flexible platform to
allow later upgrades to new services or applications when
required.
The hotel group’s deputy chief financial officer, Dillip
Rajakarier, said, “We see Pasporte as an extension of our own IT
department. They bring discipline, structure and excellent project
management to the process and that gives us confidence we have
chosen the right IT partner.”
