Samsung Electronics demonstrated the first mobile device
designed around Microsoft's Origami project at the CeBit show in
Germany last week.
Bigger than a personal digital assistant but smaller than a
laptop, the Samsung Q1 product runs the Windows XP operating
system. Marketed as an "ultra-mobile" device, it is equipped with a
900MHz Intel Celeron processor and has 500Mbytes of Ram, making it
more powerful than many entry level laptops.
The Q1 supports both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth short-range wireless
access. It has touch-screen controls and a multimedia player.
