Borland unveils new IT management platform

Borland Software is blending process improvement and skills training services with its Borland Tempo software to create the Borland IT Management & Governance (ITM&G) solution.

The new product is designed to help firms achieve improved IT and business alignment, increase their control over IT projects, and ensure regulatory compliance.

ITM&G includes automated best practices for helping to execute projects. Tempo includes a web-based suite with enhancements to its dashboard, project, portfolio and document management functions.

Borland's services to go with the new platform will include expertise in Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI).

The ITM&G offering is part of Borland’s Software Delivery Optimisation (SDO) strategy for application lifecycle management.
