West Yorkshire Police has commissioned a document
management system (DMS) from Northgate Information Solutions to
improve the performance of its penalty notice system.
The move is designed to reduce the amount of administration
required to run the system, which is also supplied by
Northgate.
Using intelligent recognition software to scan new penalty
information, the add-on software automatically updates West
Yorkshire Police’s VP/FPO penalty notice system.
The new DMS is designed to deal more efficiently with incoming
and outgoing correspondence, and enable staff to manage complete
case files from their workstation.
The add-on can also store and extract information from up to
750,000 images per year, and provide a full audit trail.
