BMC Software has released a new version of its Identity
Management Suite with improved password management to aid
regulatory compliance support.
The new suite includes BMC Identity Discovery, BMC Identity
Compliance Manager and BMC Identity Federation Manager.
The company said that version 5.0 of BMC Identity Management
Suite would allow businesses to use identity data to access the
entire IT infrastructure and manage changes in processes and
technology in the business.
BMC Identity Discovery allows companies to insert identity data
into BMC’s Atrium Configuration Management Database.
Combining identity data with the Atrium database allows
organisations to directly link hardware and software to specific
end-users, giving firms a better view of their IT assets and
business processes.
BMC Identity Compliance Manager uses a graphical dashboard to
report on policy compliance, and BMC Identity Federation Manager
helps ensure that end-users have the right level of access to key
business applications, including the improved management of
passwords.
