Remote-monitoring software for Tube
Tube maintenance company Metronet Rail is spending £5.6m on
remote-monitoring software for London Underground's Central Line.
Metronet, which runs nine tube lines on behalf of London
Underground, is installing the application at 47 signalling
equipment rooms.
Council spends £1m on finance software
South Tyneside Council has spent £1m on a financial management
application from Consilium Technologies. More than 150 people in
the council's finance department will use the application, called
Task Financials. The authority is also implementing a web portal to
manage licensing costs.
Bernard Matthews signs managed network deal
Bernard Matthews has awarded a £850,000 five-year contract to
run its managed network service to Total Network Solutions. The
supplier will introduce a multi-protocol label switching network
through 13 sites in the UK and Europe.
Masternaut to supply bus satellite tracking
The King's Ferry has signed a £350,000 contract with Masternaut
to equip its 80 buses and coaches with satellite tracking devices.
The Kent-based coach company's customers will be able to track the
location of the vehicles using the system's web interface. The
application is called Coachtrack.
