Novell has started shipping the Novell ZENworks 7 Suite,
the new version of its systems management solution for Linux- and
Windows-based systems.
Novell ZENworks automates and enforces business and IT
management processes across the lifecycle of desktops, laptops,
servers and handheld devices.
The software aims to control costs, ensure security and
compliance and get the most from a firm’s IT investments.
ZENworks 7 can be used on a single Linux-based workstation to
control both Windows-based desktops and devices, and those running
the Linux operating system.
David Litwack, Novell senior vice president and general manager
for identity and resource management, said, “By extending our
management capabilities to the Linux platform we can provide
organisations the tools they need to live in a heterogeneous IT
world.”
