Hot on the heels of its purchase of Epiphany, SSA Global
Technologies has acquired human resources (management software
supplier Boniva Software for an undisclosed sum.
SSA, which was formed in 2000, is an acquisitive organisation,
forming a stable of enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications
mainly targeted at the manufacturing industry.
Since April 2001, SSA has bought 10 companies, including
Computer Associates’ interBiz Product Group, Infinium Software,
Ironside Technologies and pioneering ERP vendor Baan.
Boniva, which has also been around since 2000, develops
Web-based applications for managing staff recruitment and training
and skills tracking.
SSA Global said it will integrate Boniva's technology into its
SSA human capital management (SCM) applications suite.
The purchase comes a week after it announced plans to buy
customer resource management (CRM) supplier Epiphany for $329m.
