Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) has won a contract
to provide support services to Nasa in a five-year deal potentially
worth $230m (£125m).
Under the deal, CSC will provide administrative, financial, HR
and procurement services to around 20,000 Nasa employees,
applicants, contractors and university partners.
Some 350 CSC specialists with expertise in SAP finance, HR,
grant administration and IT will work alongside 150 Nasa staff.
CSC’s IT and science solutions division will manage the work at the
Stennis Space Center.
Teaming up with CSC are Lockheed Martin IT and 10 other firms
currently performing the same administrative functions at other
existing locations. Lockheed Martin will provide finance support
and some management services, as well as the interim facility.
